I love the concept behind UDUTU, however, I had a few frustrating moments take place during the creation of my lesson. It seems, as I'm sure others have pointed out, that one puts in so much time to prepare this wonderful lesson and it only takes the learner a few short minutes to complete. I did, however, love the fact that you could insert an assessment at any point and the different templates they offer were great. Of course, there were several different ways I would have liked to assess the learner, but there was no template set up in that fashion.
The tutorials and forums were great. They really answered many of my questions and quickly. It is nice to see that others are out there using this great tool and even having the same issues as I am. Please, feel free to check out my UDUTU project by clicking on the link below.

Kate,
ReplyDeleteI understand your frustrations with the assessment screens. I too thought about assessing students a certain way but having to choose another way that was available on Udutu. I also found that the time put into creating the lesson is far greater than the time spent completing the lesson. Overall, the flow of your lesson was great. I liked the review of subjects before jumping into action verbs. I did wish your video of action verbs had actual footage of the actions that were written on the screen. Seeing the action verb in action could be a nice addition to a great lesson. Way to go!
